SCREENINGS AND WRAP UP PARTY

As we’ve announced before, we’ll do our best to host you movie screenings in mid-July. The fate of the screenings, (as well as the wrap up party) is still undecided, and we will listen to your hopes and wishes; do you want the final event to be hosted entirely online, or whether we will arrange an outdoor event.

What is quite certain now, however, is that

all films will be released in eleven screenings on the Uneton48 pages starting May 28th.

This way, every movie has the chance to be seen - and you get to share the link to your movie with friends and acquaintances.

PRIZES

This year, Angel Films will sponsor 2500 euros gift card for the best film, and also for the Audience’s choice! Other amazing prizes like Museum Card and Wolt’s free lunches are available too! Free-laskutus also awards to GoPro for the team who has the “best attitude” for shooting a movie!

During the competition you should use the #uneton48 hashtag on social media, as the best shots of the competition weekend will be rewarded with Finnkino movie tickets!

JURY

This year our jury has 5 members, Producer Jani Pösö, director Minna Lund, production designer Inka Matilainen, producer Maria Sekirkina and producer Jan Blomberg. Awesome!

WORKING REMOTELY AND STAYING HEALTHY

Please, read our instructions about how to survive this weekend making a movie remotely and remembering hygiene:

https://uneton48.com/stayhealthy/

AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOVIE DROP-OFF:

https://uneton48.com/drop-off/

And remember Uneton only needs the final report, but it can be returned after 5/17/2020 at 7:30 pm. The final report can be placed in the same Dropbox link as the movie. If you do not have the opportunity to write a digital signature, enter the relevant telephone number in the “email” field. Papers can be found here!

Script doctoring

This year, uneton48 is offering script doctoring. In this way, we can help you make the script as light and “hygienic” as possible. In practice this means that if your draft contains a massive scene between different persons, the script doctor could suggest some dramatizing for the scene to make it more "hygienic", with only one or two persons. Or if there are numerous different locations, you would get ideas for "simplifying" the script. We try to give tips to keep contacts between team / actors / locations, etc. to a minimum.

AND HOW THIS DOCTORING HAPPENS:

You will send your script to our screenwriter Anne Lahtinen, a max. 5 page draft as a PDF, on Friday from 10 pm to 11 pm to anne@uneton48.com.

Anne reads these scripts and writes you dramaturgical feedback - in the order in which the emails arrive. Here, too, speed is an advantage, as only the first 12 scripts arrived will get the feedback (unless otherwise stated and there’s some extra time left for others).

Now, let’s make some movies! And action!

Br,

Anne and Iikko from the Uneton48 team
